Beyond the translation

Song interpretation

This lighthearted romantic duets features playful banter between the male and female leads. The male protagonist eagerly invites his lover to hold hands, share stories of love, and sympathize with his deep romantic yearning, reminding her that obeying her husband's word is proper custom. The female lead playfully rebuffs his advances, reminding him that the elders are keeping watch like a fence, and cheekily questioning if it is proper to flirt improperly or fall in love with a maidservant.
