ஞானபண்டிதா முருகா பாலகுமாரனே

உருகி வேண்டினோம் முருகா உந்தன் அருள் கொடு

விழிதிறக்குமே முருகா ஒளி பிறக்குமே

வழி பிறக்குமே முருகா வழி கிடைக்குமே

Oh wise Pandit Muruga, young Balakumaran!

We pray with melting hearts, Muruga, grant us your divine grace.

Eyes will open, Muruga, and light will dawn.

A new path will emerge, Muruga, a way forward will be found.

வேலெடுத்தவன் முருகன் வினையறுப்பவன்

காப்பவர் கவலைகளை எடுப்பவன்

நீயிருக்க எந்தன் நிலையும் ஞாயமோ

தாயிருக்கையில் பிள்ளை தவறி விழுமோ

பால் கொடுத்தவன் முருகா பாசம் கேட்கிறான்

பாலகா குகா மடியில் சேர்க்கப்பார்க்கிறேன்

அன்பு சிவன் அவன் முருகா கோபம் கொள்கிறான்

நீலகண்டனின் மகனே நிழலில் சேரவா

Murugan is the one who wields the spear and severs all bad karma.

He is the savior who removes all worries.

Is my suffering state fair when you are present?

Would a child stumble and fall when its mother is right nearby?

The one who fed milk, Muruga, is now yearning for affection.

Oh young Lord Guha, I seek to place him on your lap.

He is as loving as Shiva, Muruga, yet he is filled with anger now.

Oh son of the blue-throated Shiva, may I rest under your shadow?

குறைகள் உள்ளது மனிதா உறவுதானடா

நிறைந்து வழியும் என் நெஞ்சம் முழுதும் நீயடா

நீ என் வாழ்வினை நிலையாய் ஒன்று சேரடா

காற்று மண்டலம் கந்தன் கான மண்டபம்

ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளடா என் தாய் இளையவள் தவம்

காற்று வெள்ளமாய் உந்தன் காலில் விழுகிறேன்

பற்றும் தெய்வமே புனிதா புரிந்துகொள்ளடா

Without crescent moons, Muruga, what worth has the earth?

Human relationships inherently possess flaws, my dear.

Fill my heart completely, for you reside in all of it.

Please weave and bring the scattered leaves of my life together.

The realm of winds is the unseen sanctum of Lord Kandhan.

Accept the earnest penance of this mother and young woman.

I fall at your feet like a rushing torrent of wind.

Oh holy deity I hold onto, please understand my plight!
