Do not lose your senses,
do not be charmed by someone's looks,
danger will come from it,
great danger will come from it!
Do not be blinded by desire,
seeing affection and falling in love,
do not be deceived,
do not let your mind be fooled!
In the hunt... in the hunt of love,
setting your heart upon it,
do not end up in pain,
in the hunt of love,
setting your heart upon it,
do not end up in pain,
do not let your heart suffer!
Do not be blinded by desire,
danger will come from it,
great danger will come from it!
Do not be blinded by desire,
Calling you darling, jewel, and sweet fruit,
they will wrap you in their arms
and shower you with kisses.
Drowning in the ocean of love,
while you struggle in distress,
vanishing like a dream,
they will run away, oh Ramani!
They will never return, do not be fooled!
Danger will come from it,
great danger will come from it!
Do not be blinded by desire,
Ho... ho... oo... oooo... oo... oo...
At young girls, again and again,
staring constantly,
to hide those sneaky glances...
At young girls, again and again,
staring constantly,
to hide those sneaky glances...
dark sunglasses,
they put on dark sunglasses!
Laughing "ha-ha-ha, hee-hee-hee,"
they will chat, giggle, and come near,
trying to catch you by casting a net of love!
Do not be blinded by desire,
danger will come from it,
great danger will come from it!
Do not be blinded by desire,
Giving themselves a clean shave,
putting powder on their face,
applying perfume and hair cream,
searching for where young women gather,
coat, suit, and hat,
wearing a coat, suit, and hat,
looking neat like a Western gentleman,
to check out women in style,
twirling a walking stick around,
twirling the stick,
whistling a tune,
they will swagger in style,
acting like a wealthy lord!
They will swagger in style,
acting like a wealthy lord!
Do not be blinded by desire,
danger will come from it,
great danger will come from it!
Do not be blinded by desire,
Do not trust, do not trust,
casting glances sharper than arrows,
do not trust a flirtatious troublemaker!
Danger will come from it,
great danger will come from it!
Do not trust a loud-mouthed bully!
Do not trust a loud-mouthed bully!

Beyond the translation

Overall song meaning

This song serves as a satirical cautionary social commentary advising young men and women against being swayed by superficial charm, pretentious attire, and false affection. The lyricist warns women about men who dress up in Western suits, wear dark sunglasses to hide mischievous stares, and put on grand airs only to abandon them once trouble arises. Towards the end, the lyricist equally cautions men against treacherous women who use sharp, alluring glances and loud dominance to entrap them.
