Song interpretation
This title track from the film 'Naan Avanillai' revolves around a playful yet intense confrontation between a master charmer (a conman who assumes multiple identities to trick women) and a woman who confronts him. The male protagonist repeatedly denies his identity with the central refrain 'Naan Avan Illai' ('I am not that man'), despite the woman recounting intimate moments and shared passions to prove that he is indeed the lover who seduced her.
