O running clouds,
Will you listen to a single word of mine?
To my restless, swaying mind,
Will you grant some solace?
O running clouds,
Will you listen to a single word of mine?
She is a colorful peacock ruling the land,
I am a hero only in epic stories,
Among the slaves in this country,
I am just one among a thousand.
Her house is a grand palace,
My nest is on a tree branch,
Withered sorrow is my lot in life,
In this state, where can I search
For that deer-like heart? Tell me.

O running clouds,
Will you listen to a single word of mine?
To my restless, swaying mind,
Will you grant some solace?
When the whole town is asleep,
My night stays wide awake,
When the entire world smiles,
That moon over there sits weeping.
A long distance lies on the path,
At a time when the journey goes on,
Whom does this loving heart search for?
In this state, where can I search
For that deer-like heart? Tell me.
