Beyond the translation

Song interpretation

This song captures a deep emotional conversation between two lovers who are faced with physical distance and separation. The female protagonist pleads with her 'nomadic' lover not to leave her world behind, likening her existence without him to a fish unable to survive out of water. In response, the male protagonist reassures her that distance is merely physical; only the body crosses oceans, whereas soul and memories remain inseparable across space and time.
