Beyond the translation

Song interpretation

This song weaves a fairytale-like story starting with an allegorical tale of a magical forest that falls under a dark curse. A joyful princess who plays with nature, fish, and animals unknowingly angers an enchanted tree-witch while picking flowers, which curses her to sleep eternally like a keyless doll until a heroic savior arrives to break the spell with a kiss of love. In the latter half, the song transitions into a romantic expression comparing maternal affection with deep romantic love. The protagonist reflects on how a mother's kiss teaches affection, whereas his beloved's kiss reveals a divine, soul-stirring passion that connects two lovers across seven lifetimes within just a span of seven seconds.
