This classic duet 'Vaa Vaa Vaathiyaare Vaa' from the movie Mundhanai Mudichu (1983) is a playful, romantic courtship song between the lead characters. Bhagyaraj, who also played the lead role of the school teacher ('Vaathiyaar'), making the title 'Vaathiyaare' in the song a direct meta-reference to his character. The hit soundtrack was composed by Maestro Ilaiyaraaja with lyrics by his brother Gangai Amaran.
