Song interpretation
This song segment from the film Thiruvarutchelvar touches upon the legendary event at Thirumaraikadu (Vedaranyam) temple. According to Shaivite lore, the four Vedas worshipped Lord Shiva here and locked the temple doors. Later, the Great Nayanmars, Appar and Thirugnanasambandar, sang divine hymns to open and close these locked temple gates through divine grace. The lyrics evoke the glory of Shiva, surrounded by sweet groves, and highlight the power of sincere faith and music in unlocking divine blessings.

This sequence recreates the famous Miracle at Thirumaraikadu, where Appar sang a hymn to open the temple doors that had been closed by the Vedas.
