Rising on its own and falling upon me,
It pulls me like a net;
Rising on its own and falling upon me,

In the dot on the forehead, in the flower worn,
All that is seen is my domain.

Everything of mine is yours.

Beyond the translation
Song interpretation
This playful and romantic duet from the film Anandha Jodhi features a witty exchange between lovers. The heroine teasingly calls her lover a 'great poet born and raised in lies' because poets are notorious for exaggeration and fiction. In response, the hero counters that she is a flower-like maiden born in grace, and that he has come to truly understand her deeper feelings.
