To reveal the divine vision of formless Muruga with form,

They came to add beauty to absolute beauty!
Like giving sweet melody to the Tamil language,
They came to dress and adorn the Goddess!
Lakshmi of the red lotus,
And Saraswati of the white lotus,
Believing it to be the great blessing
Earned by their own flower-like hands,
Adorned Her like painting the radiant sky!
She who won over Lord Shiva,
Who never bowed before the god of love,
Now wore bridal bangles on Her hands!
On the hair that made Lord Shiva debate with poet Nakkeerar,
They gently applied fragrant oil!
