Song interpretation
This melancholy and dramatic song from Veeranganai (1964) portrays a protagonist suffering from deep emotional betrayal and isolation. Comparing the treacherous world to a stormy tempest and a deceptive desert, the singer laments how people enter one's heart like a pest growing inside a fruit, only to hollow it out and destroy it from within.
