எழுத்து நமக்கு ஆயுதம்

எம் கை எழுத்து எனக்கு அடையாளம்

அடையாளம் இழப்பது அவமானம்

அதை காக்க நினைக்கும்

தமிழ் தன்மானம்...ஹேய் ய்ய்

Writing is our weapon.

My signature is my identity.

Losing identity is a disgrace.

That which seeks to protect it

Is Tamil self-respect..heyy eeyy

உணர்வில் கலந்த

உயிர் எழுத்து

அது உண்மை அறிந்தோர்க்கு

மெய் எழுத்து

அறனாய் நிற்கும்

ஆயுத எழுத்து

அவை அனைத்தும் நம்

தமிழ் நல் முத்து

Blended into our feelings

Is the vowel letter (soul letter).

For those who know the truth, it is

The consonant letter (body letter / truth script).

Standing as armor

Is the Aayutha letter (weapon letter).

All of these are our

Tamil's fine pearls.

எந்தன் தாய் ஊட்டிய மொழியை

எடுத்து எறிதல் தான் தகும்மோ

சிந்தை நிறைந்த இந்த செம்மொழியை

கிண்டல் செய்தால் தான் அது நியாயமா

அன்னை சொல்லே அறவே மறப்பதும்

அந்நிய மொழியை ஆபத்தில் தரிப்பதும்

The language fed to me by my mother,

Is it right to throw it away?

This classical language that fills our mind,

Is it fair to mock it?

Completely forgetting the mother tongue

And dangerously adorning oneself in a foreign language

இனி தமிழை ஏற்றிடுவோம்

தலை எழுத்தை மாற்றிடுவோம்

கை ஒப்பம் இட்டிடுவோம்

அதில் கன்னி தமிழில் கொட்டிடுவோம்

From now on, let us elevate Tamil!

Let us change our destiny!

Let us put our signatures,
