Do you not have the mind? Do you not have the heart?

Beyond the translation
Song interpretation
In this devotional song from Thirumalai Deivam (1973), Goddess Padmavathi lovingly expresses her sweet longing and romantic grievance towards her husband, Lord Venkateswara. She gently complains that while she waits for him in solitude, he spends all his time granting audience to his countless devotees and performing cosmic duties. She reminds him that as his divine consort, she was born to serve his lotus feet, pleading with him to spare at least one day dedicated entirely to their love.
