ஒன்றிலே கலசம் வைத்தாய்

மூன்றிலே மயக்கம் வைத்தாய்

என்னையே சேர்த்து வைத்தாய்

என்றும் நீ துணை இருப்பாய்.....

You placed four temple towers,

You built only one temple,

On one, you placed the sacred golden finial,

In three, you placed illusion and confusion,

You joined me along with them,

May you always remain my eternal companion.

ஓர் மகள் திருவிளக்கு

தங்கையோ தெரு விளக்கு

தம்பியோ தனி வழக்கு

நான்குமே சரண் உனக்கு

நல்குவாய் புதுக் கணக்கு.....

One son is the light of the family lineage,

One daughter is the auspicious holy lamp,

The younger sister is like a street light,

The younger brother is a solitary lamp,

All four surrender unto you,

Grant us a fresh, new lease on life.
