வாழும் காலம் யாவும் உனக்காக நான்தான்

காவிய வீணையில் சுவரங்களை மீட்டுவேன்

கானம் கானம் ஜீவ கானம் பிறக்காதோ இங்கே

Oh song of seven notes, you alone are my life!

For my entire lifespan, I exist only for you.

I will pluck the musical notes on the epic lute... a song,

A song... will a soulful song not be born here?

ஏதோ ராகம் எனது குரலின் வழி

தாளம் பாவம் இரண்டும் இணைந்து வர

கேட்கும் யாரும் உருகி உருகி விழ

காதில் பாயும் புதிய கவிதை இது

அழகு மொழியில் ஒரு அமுத மழையும் வர

நினைவும் மனமும் அதில் நனைய நனைய சுகமோ

ஏதோ... நாளெல்லாம் சந்தோஷம் நெஞ்செல்லாம் சங்கீதம்

உயிரே......உயிரே......

Some raga flows through my voice,

As rhythm and emotion unite together,

Making anyone who listens melt completely and fall for it.

This is a new poem pouring into the ears,

As a rain of nectar falls through beautiful language,

Is it pure bliss as memories and the heart get continuously drenched in it?

Happiness all day long, music filling the whole heart...

Oh life... oh life...

கையில் ஏந்தும் மதுவில் மயக்கமுண்டு

கண்ணில் நீந்தும் கனவில் இனிமையுண்டு

நெஞ்சே நெஞ்சே எதையும் மறந்துவிடு

போதை ஆற்றில் மனதை மிதக்கவிடு

உறவு எதுவுமில்லை கவலை சிறிதுமில்லை

தனிமை கொடுமையில்லை இனிமை இனிமை இதுதான்

நான் தான்......

பாசங்கள் கொள்ளாத பந்தங்கள் இல்லாத

மனிதன் மனிதன்

There is intoxication in the wine held in hand,

There is sweetness in the dreams floating in the eyes.
