Song interpretation
This celebratory comedic song from 'Manal Kayiru' (1982) marks a turning point in the marital conflict between the protagonist Kittumani and his wife Uma. After Kittumani laid down strict, absurd conditions for marriage and subsequently sought a divorce due to misunderstandings stirred by his uncle, the sudden news of his wife's pregnancy upends all legal plans and ego trips.
