My dear child, precious darling
From now on, I am your mother as well
My darling, my beloved child
You are forever in my heart
Oh white moon, oh white moon
Why did you disappear from our lives?
Will the day of the third crescent moon arrive?
My heart throbs counting every passing day
From now on, you are the sky
And I shall be the shining star within it
I will protect you with all my strength
With love surrounding us every day
My darling, my beloved child
From now on, you are like a mother to me
My darling, my beloved child
I am always present in your life
Oh white moon, oh white moon
Why did you disappear from our lives?
Will the day of the third crescent moon arrive?
I yearn in longing, counting every single moment

Beyond the translation
Song interpretation
This emotional song from 'Mission Chapter 1' explores the deep, tender bond between a father and his young daughter in the absence of the mother. The father steps up to fulfill both parental roles, addressing his daughter with deep affection while mourning the loss/absence of his wife (symbolized by the missing full moon). The dialogue shifts between father and daughter as both vow to be each other's protective sky and star, promising endless love and companionship despite hardships.
