Beyond the translation

Song interpretation

This poignant song expresses the grief of a man whose lover was forced to marry someone else. He recalls the beautiful dreams they shared and the arranged marriage that was broken before the sacred thread could be tied. Consumed by heartbreak, he compares his condition to a fish suffering on dry land. Despite his unbearable suffering and loss of purpose in life, he selflessly blesses her to live happily as a devoted wife to her husband, accepting his tragic fate.
