வாழும் காலம்

யாவுமே தாயின் பாதம்

சொா்க்கமே வேதம் நான்கும்

சொன்னதே அதை நான்

அறிவேனே அம்மா என்னும்

மந்திரமே அகிலம் யாவும்

ஆள்கிறதே

Throughout all the time we live

A mother's feet are heaven itself

That is what all four Vedas proclaim

And that is what I come to know

The sacred mantra named 'Mother'

Rules over the entire universe

வோ் இல்லாத

மரம்போல் என்னை நீ

பூமியில் நட்டாயே ஊா்

கண் எந்தன் மேலே பட்டால்

உன் உயிா் நோக துடித்தாயே

உலகத்தின் பந்தங்கள் எல்லாம்

நீ சொல்லி தந்தாயே பிறப்புக்கும்

இறப்புக்கும் இடையில் வழி நடத்திச்

சென்றாயே உனக்கே ஓா் தொட்டில்

கட்டி நானே தாயாய் மாறிட வேண்டும்

You planted me on this earth like a rootless tree

If an evil eye fell on me, your soul writhed in pain

You taught me all the relationships of this world

You guided my path between birth and death

I want to build a cradle for you and become a mother myself...

தாய் சொல்கின்ற

வாா்த்தைகள் எல்லாம்

நோய் தீா்க்கின்ற மருந்தல்லவா

மண் பொன் மேலே ஆசை துறந்த

கண் தூங்காத உயிா் அல்லவா

காலத்தின் கணக்குகளில்

செலவாகும் வரவும் நீ

சுழல்கின்ற பூமியின் மேலே

சுழலாத பூமியும் நீ இறைவா

நீ ஆணையிடு தாயே எந்தன்

மகளாய் மாற

Are not all the words a mother speaks the medicine that cures illness?

Are you not the sleepless soul who renounced all desire for land and gold?

In the ledger of time, you are both the expense and the income

Upon this spinning earth, you are the unshakeable ground

O God, give the command... let my mother be born as my daughter...
