ஆனந்தபவனம் யமுனைக் கரையினிலே

நான் கண்ட உலகம் இல்லற கலையினிலே

நாயகன் தேவன் நாயகி தேவி

நன்மை அன்பு பண்பு எல்லாம் தேவன் பூஜை

A mansion of bliss on the banks of the Yamuna river,

The world I have seen resides in the art of family life.

The hero is God, the heroine is Goddess,

Goodness, love, and character are all divine worship.

சூரியன் ஒளியை சந்திரன் வாங்கி

தருவது போலே குலமகளே

தூயவளாக மேன்மையை வளர்த்து

சொர்க்கம் போல இல்லம் காணும் தெய்வம் தாய்மை

Just as the moon absorbs the sun's light,

And gives it back, oh bride of noble lineage,

Cultivating virtue with pure devotion,

Motherhood is the deity that makes a home feel like heaven.

சத்தியத்தில் வாழும் உள்ளம் குத்துவிளக்கு

அந்த தத்துவத்தைச் சொல்லும் இந்த குத்துவிளக்கு

ஆடிடும் தொட்டில் இல்லையென்றாலும்

அன்னை உள்ளம் பெண்ணுக்குண்டு அறிவாய் மாதா

A heart living in truth is like a traditional lamp,

This traditional lamp speaks of that philosophical truth.

Even if there is no swinging cradle,

Know, oh mother, that every woman naturally possesses a maternal heart.

தாயவள் வீட்டில் ஒரு மகளாவாள்

தழுவிய வீட்டில் மருமகளே

சீதையைக் கண்டு கோதையைக் கண்டு

பாதை கண்டு செல்லும் மங்கை கோயில் பாவை

She is a daughter in her mother's house,

And a daughter-in-law in the house she embraces through marriage.

Emulating the path of Sita and Kodhai (Andal),

The woman who walks their righteous path is like a sacred temple idol.
